When the Sky Sports reporter comments on transfer issues you can be fairly confident that there is substance to the content.
Mahmic caught the eye at the World Cup Finals for Bosnia and is expected to move on from Czech side Liberec.
The 21-year-old is one of a number of names liked with Celtic over the last week or so.
Celtic are in talks to sign Slovan Liberec midfielder Ermin Mahmic.
It’s understood the clubs are discussing a potential fee of around £7m, with £1.5m in add-ons, for the Bosnia-Herzegovina international.

With Arne Engels sold to West Ham there is a vacancy for at least one mainly physical addition to the Celtic midfield.
Mika Baur signed from Paderborn shortly before the £22m Engels deal went through.
CELTIC MIDFIELD OPTIONS AND OMISSIONS
The German has looked impressive but in an entirely different role to Engels.
Watching Baur in action it is difficult to shake off thoughts of Reo Hatate. Against Lask in midweek the Japanese midfielder replaced the new arrival from Germany.
A fee in the region of £6-8m seems to be mentioned in discussions relating to Mahmic. So far in the transfer window Celtic are sitting on a profit of around £10m.
Unlike in previous seasons it seems that recruitment is solely focussed on bringing in ready-to-play first team starters.
Mahmic certainly falls into that category.
At the age of 21 the brutal reality would be that he views a move to Celtic as a stepping stone to the EPL.
Engels has almost made that move by joining West Ham, spending two seasons winning four domestic trophies for Celtic and enjoying one 10 match Champions League campaign.
With no weekend match there will be no news from Martin O’Neill until Monday in Austria.
The Celtic boss generally gives little away but when a deal is close he has been known to give a little encouragement.
Once Celtic’s Champions League fate is known things should become much clearer with the transfer window closing at 5pm on September 3.

Celtic have sold around £40 million of players this summer” and likely the arrangement payments will be paid over the next few years” its also the same who we have bought unless clubs need all the fee upfront but the format usually its paid over a few years so all this talk about what is spent its only a part payment likely half the value and rest spread over a period of years.
This young guy is a player and a half. Really hope this deal gets done. Cracking player
