Celtic have been contacted about an international call up for Camilo Duran.
The Colombian has been in outstanding form since his transfer from Qarabag and is now set for his first ever international call up.
It is an incredible story for someone that was playing in the Portuguese Second Division just 14 months ago.
Ten months and five Champions League goals has transformed Duran’s profile. From Portimonense to being capped by Columbia.
During the summer Colombia reached the last 16 at the World Cup, losing out to Switzerland in a penalty shoot out.
Duran never made the 26 man squad but is now preparing for his first international call up.
On the back of an eight day spell that features two Glasgow Derbies and a Europa League tie.
Before that Celtic are away to St Johnstone with Duran the main threat in terms of goals and assists.

DURAN LEFT COLOMBIA ALMOST UNKNOWN- NOW HE IS ABOUT TO BECOME A FULL INTERNATIONALIST
The rise of Duran is incredible to chart.
On 30 August 2025 he moved from Portimonense for just 200,000 euros. Qarabag signed the striker after they qualified for the Champions League.
Whoever identified someone in a middle of the road Portuguese Second Division side deserves a bonus. Duran will certainly be grateful, as are Celtic fans.
On 10 July 2026 Celtic spent a fee of around £5/6m to sign their first ever Colombian player. Within three months he is likely to be a full internationalist.
Duran left Colombian football in July 2022 to join Lusitania, currently they are playing in the fourth tier of Portuguese football.
