Team News: O’Neill makes two Celtic changes with three new signings on the bench.

Martin O’Neill has brought back Callum McGregor and Auston Trusty to the Celtic side to face Aberdeen tonight.

The injured Kieran Tierney drops out with Mika Baur listed as a substitute.

The bench carried plenty of interest with Sam Johnstone, Oliver Sorenson and Shim Mheuka all listed after signing up in the last 36 hours.

After the criticism of the substitutes in the matches against LASK there is certainly a fresh look as O’Neill looks to have additional options to select from.

Domestically Celtic have won four out of four and are strong favourites to beat Aberdeen tonight.

Camilo Duran will lead the strike force on the back of scoring twice in the first half against Falkirk.

McGregor is a straight replacement for Baur in midfield with Scales shifting to left-back as Trusty teams up in defence with Cameron Carter-Vickers.

CELTIC V ABERDEEN LAST SEASON

The two clubs only played each other three times last season with the Dons finishing in the bottom six.

In the last meeting between the clubs it took a goal from substitute Ben Nygren to deliver the points with Celtic visiting Pittodrie between two trips to Ibrox.

Stephen Robinson came in as manager with real concerns about dropping into the play-off spot but the former St Mirren avoided that.

After winning all of their League Cup group matches Aberdeen opened their SPFL campaign with a late win over Hearts.

That has been followed by two Premiership defeats without scoring either side of a League Cup win at home to Dundee.

Next up for Celtic is a trip to St Mirren on Saturday followed by an away day at St Johnstone on Wednesday.

By 11pm tonight Celtic have to submit their 25 man squad to UEFA for the Europa League.
