Celtic’s media partners are united today on what is the back page lead.
In not so many words the COPS HAVE WARNED CELTIC STARS is the message being put out ahead of Sunday’s game at Ibrox.
Unprompted Martin O’Neill brought it up that Police Scotland had spoken with the Celtic players about their conduct at Ibrox.
That will be the players that were attacked on the pitch after winning a Scottish Cup tie in March.
The players that watched a member of the Celtic backroom staff assaulted by a fan that wondered on to the pitch from the Enclosure.
Some of the players will remember the delayed start to the match at Ibrox in March 2022. Why was that? Well the mysterious appearance of broken glass in Joe Hart’s goalmouth.
The sort of mystery that news outlets in most countries would be all over.
But not in Scotland. Celtic certainly didn’t want any probing into something that could tarnish their cherished O** F*** brand.
Celtic players and staff routinely assaulted at Ibrox and the media is running with this.
More and more reasons to stick with fan media. pic.twitter.com/IhJ8LWCNtj

Fortunately the days of counting newspaper circulation in thousands has been reduced to hundreds.
TOUGH TIMES FOR CELTIC’S MEDIA PARTNERS
The Daily Record recently dipped below 30,000 sales a day. Hardly worthwhile sending the lorries north from Oldham.
Despite circulation falling off a cliff Celtic go out of their way to support their struggling newspaper friends.
After his slot with broadcasters yesterday Martin O’Neill sat down separately with reporters from the Daily Record, Sun, Herald, Scotsman and the Daily Mail.
Three of those titles were out in the Algarve where they were spoon fed so much content that the Albufeira Four still had interviews held back for a few days after the bar bills had been settled.
Iain Jamieson is the long standing Communications Manager for Celtic. Someone firmly wedged in the nineties when the Internet thingy was strictly for Bampots only.
There are rumours that Jamieson has been wooing one fan media outlet into the club tent, taking on the baton from Celtic Quick News as their pet online outlet.
Celtic will arrive at Ibrox tomorrow advertising the travel firm for a former Ibrox Chairman. Another long running business partnership.
Basically don’t upset the right wing snowflakes at ibrox

Pathetic excuse for journalism…..glass bottle thrown at Harte, glass bottle thrown & hit a Celtic physio, staff member attacked on the pitch & players had to intervene, Brown attacked on the field. Selective memories as always

Not bought a paper for years now long gone are the days I’d pick one up along with my morning rolls. Rags print nonsense

celtic STARS !!!! Loving it ???
No players blessing themselves as they enter the pitch of the crumbling Ibroxland stadium ? Plod doesn’t want the natives or locals to be upset as that might hamper the home team’s preparations ! And if 75 year old Martin O’Neill looks and sounds too exuberant in his smilings and laughter if and when Celtic score a goal in the tie then that won’t be taken too kindly by Mr Police Scotland either ! Don’t say you have not been warned ……
