Oasis are close to announcing a 2027 tour starting with five nights at Celtic Park.
The Gallagher brothers have never hidden their affection for Celtic with their stadium gigs long speculated over.
According to the report in The Sun Oasis will play at Celtic Park for five nights in May.
The SPFL Premiership season finishes on the weekend of May 16/17.
Celtic will start next season in mid/late July with second round qualifiers for whatever European competition they enter.
The Sun announced:
OASIS will perform another massive UK tour next summer, The Sun can reveal.
A leaked schedule, subject to minor tweaks, shows Noel and Liam Gallagher will kick off with five nights at Glasgow’s Celtic Park in May.
It will take at least one week to transform Celtic Park into a stadium venue.
CELTIC TO CASH IN ON THE OASIS FACTOR
Hampden and Murrayfield have hogged stadium concerts in Scotland over recent years but it looks like a special effort has been made to get Oasis to Celtic Park.
Every aspect of the concerts from hospitality to merchandise will be hammered out in contracts while speculation goes on over Celtic’s cut on the deal.
Since Celtic Park was rebuilt in the late nineties it hasn’t staged any concerts.
The hospitality industry in and around Glasgow is likely to be the biggest beneficiary, the Oasis concerts will be the biggest event in Scotland next year.
According to The National the three nights that Oasis played at Murrayfield in 2025 were worth £136.6 to the economy in Edinburgh.
Going by that calculation Glasgow should get a boost of over £200m.
All of that won’t matter to Celtic fans as they look for investment on the pitch.
After making a profit of between £15-20m during the transfer market Celtic again missed out on a Champions League place.
Following their Celtic Park concerts Oasis will go off on a close season football stadium tour that includes the Etihad Stadium Manchester, Munich’s Allianz Arena, the San Siro in Milan and the Olympico Stadium in Rome.
