‘A tiny minority of fans’ debunking the myth being put around by the Happy Clapping Celtic bootlickers
Over the course of the extended international break there has been a notable rise in the number of online accounts defending the Celtic board.
They don’t actually defend Michael Nicholson & Co directly but prefer to attack the long established fan media outlets and accounts that don’t subscribe to the Happy Clapper mantra.
Winning 14 Scottish titles out of 15 isn’t an earth shattering achievement. No one outside of Scotland cares or bothers.
Failing six times in a row to navigate through Champions League qualifiers is pretty unique. As part of a pattern of failing in eight of their last 10 attempts despite being seeded against clubs generally with half of Celtic’s turnover, or less.
Staying half a step in front of a club formed in 2012 isn’t noticed outside of Scotland.
In Norway fans are too busy watching Bodo Glimt and Viking playing in the Champions League.
Football is a global game these days, one in which Celtic have been sidelined in every area.
Next week Celtic fans are dreading a Europa League trip to face Benfica in Lisbon. Anything under a 3-0 defeat will be seen as some sort of moral victory.
HOW DARE CELTIC FANS RAISE EXPECTATIONS BEYOND SCOTLAND
Outlets critical of the running of Celtic are viewed with more than suspicions by Happy Clappers.
Many are viewed with raging jealousy as reporters, bloggers and podcasters make a living from their coverage of the club.
No one is forced to pay to watch or listen. Most are free with the income coming in from advertisers that appreciate the views that their content brings in.
Paul John Dykes, the host of ACSOM has come in for extra criticism since last Thursday.
His crime? Providing Brendan Rodgers with a platform.
Remember him, he was the highly successful manager that resigned with a character assassination from Dermot Desmond as a parting gift.
There wasn’t much evidence of the fabled #Celticfamily when that statement was released on the club website.
138,600+ unique viewers tuned into ACSOM in the last 28 days, contributing to over 1 million views on YouTube alone – connecting Celtic supporters from around the world.
The club would love to believe that independent podcasts are only watched by a “hardcore minority” of anti-board activists, but the data tells a completely different story.
While not every viewer agrees with every opinion, these numbers reflect a massive cross section of the support.
The reality is becoming harder to ignore: fans who believe this club is maximising its potential at an executive level are rapidly shrinking into the minority.

That exchange is typical. From the jealous Happy Clappers that don’t understand the digital market. Just like their heroes in the Celtic boardroom.
On Tuesday Celtic released an exclusive interview with Martin O’Neill. Two days on it has had 30,000 views on You Tube.
ACSOM produces a daily show at 12.30. Their show on Wednesday titled ‘O’Neill stays’ has been watched 23,000 times on You Tube.
Today’s show at 12,30 had clocked up 10,000 views by 6pm.
Throughout the international break ACSOM has been attracting around 20,000 views every day.
CELTIC ARE LOST IN TIME WITH A BOARD OUT OF TOUCH AT EVERY LEVEL
With a policy of questioning the failings of Nicholson, Dermot Desmond and Brian Wilson viewers know the content that they will get.
There is only one podcast that is is support of corporate Celtic. Two 50 somethings giggle their way through recent events tit-tutting at fans who want to see Celtic be the best that they can.
‘Remember the 90s’ is their tag-line as they wallow in the worst decade in Celtic’s history. Wishing that was the norm in order to celebrate the current domination.
Football in 2026 is about European competition. One in particular.
Celtic have a horrific record in the Champions League. Opposition teams and fans love the trip to Glasgow, visiting an out of date stadium and leaving with three points.
No European knock out wins since season 2003/04 when a dark force took up position is a shameful record.
Two years ago Rodgers threatened to make Celtic competent in Europe.
Celtic have won six Champions League matches in the last 13 years. Rodgers was in charge for five of those matches including a run of four wins over 13 months.
Rodgers exposed the mediocrity that Celtic are happy to settle for.
Anyone highlighting that the garden isn’t rosy can expect constant criticism from a small but active group of Happy Clappers, so small that they can’t even set up a dedicated website or podcast to showcase their heroes Nicholson, Wilson, Desmond and Peter The Great.

The board ain’t in a good place with Celtic supporters…
But when it comes to finance and lining their own greasy pockets, by f*uck they certainly are !
Over on Thick News that former bastion of board groupies, they have had 37 posts in over 7/ 1/2 hours., and most of the posts now are probably not from happy clappers.
Not so much a baker’s dozen as a geezers’ hauf dozen; the rest of the codgers having either given up and gone into hiding or shuffled off this mortal coil.
R.I.P.
Lol,we are no longer in front of sevco in the league come this weekend,we will be playing catch up,and not just for a couple of games, the remainder of the season.
We have blown it this time, and there ain’t going to be no miracle acts by Martin this time.
And we played our part on how we got here, all this shite about how the board don’t back the fans, while the fans back the board by selling out the stadium,so the fans are to blame.
You don’t show up,you don’t put pennies in their pocket, they won’t be long in running away when the cash cow is no longer about.
