Martin O’Neill has made changes to the Celtic side that lost to Celta Vigo for today’s match against Hibs.
Kasper Hogh comes into the side with Haissem Hassan dropping to the bench. That suggests that Camilo Duran will switch to the right wing with the Dane played through the centre.
Sam Johnstone retains his place in goals which suggests that the on loan Wolves keeper is Celtic’s first choice.
On the bench Celtic look much stronger than they did on Thursday against Celta.
Jota and Shim Mheuka are eligible for today’s match with Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston returning from injury.
Despite an amber warning and weather issues it seems that the match will go ahead as scheduled in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
A win for Celtic will restore their four point lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership table.
CELTIC V HIBS PREVIEW
Today’s match is a meeting of top v bottom, a scenario that few could have anticipated when the fixtures were published.
Last season Celtic won twice at Easter Road, both under Martin O’Neill but only took one point from two home fixtures against the Edinburgh side.
The last clash was in May when a late goal from Kelechi Iheanacho gave Celtic a vital win with three SPFL fixtures left to play.
David Gray was sacked by Hibs on September 16 but there has been no new manager bounce for Marink Reedijk.
Am opening match defeat away to Dundee United was followed last Saturday with a home defeat to Hibs.
Combined with other results that sunk Hibs to bottom place in the Premiership with today’s match followed by a midweek trip to St Mirren and a League Cup semi-final against Hearts.
Ryan Lee will referee today’s match, next up for Celtic is a visit from Dundee United on Wednesday night.
