Calum Murray will take charge of his first Rangers v Celtic derby in over a year when he officiates at Sunday’s Ibrox clash.
Last February Murray found himself in the spotlight when he red carded Steven Whittaker, Madjid Bougherra and El Hadji Diouf as Celtic beat Rangers 1-0 in a stormy Scottish Cup tie.
Bougherra and Diouf were asked to appear before an SFA Disciplinary Committee but no further action was taken against the players.
The fall out from that match saw fresh legislation rushed through by the Scottish Government.
Craig Thomson has been in charge of the last three Ibrox fixtures between the two clubs with Murray the only other current referee to have handled an Ibrox derby clash.
Neither side have any players out suspended for the match but Celtic do have a number of injuries to deal with.
James Forrest and Gary Hooper both picked up knocks during the League Cup Final defeat from Kilmarnock but will be given every chance to prove their fitness.

Hopefully we won’t have to depend on fair & impartial refereeing on Sunday.
Looking for the hoops to bring the endeavour they left at home yesterday to ipox!
I see the orc’s are gonna be trying to flog 43’000 union jacks to raise a few quid .which will go ironically to the tax-man.and after the match we’ll be leaving with the only flag that matter’s.
