Steve Lomas newsFurious Steve Lomas slammed referee George Salmond for getting THREE crunch decisions wrong against Celtic.

The St Johnstone boss was aggrieved by both goals that his side lost and felt that they were denied a penalty when Thomas Rogne and Francisco Sandaza clashed in the penalty box.

Lomas was ‘mightily aggrieved’ by the decisions that went against his side who have an outside chance of clinching a Champions League spot next season with Rangers failing to meet the UEFA licencing deadline

“I don’t want to criticise referees but, in our opinion, we didn’t get the rub of the green,” the St Johnstone boss stated.

“Sandaza had a blatant penalty, the second goal is a free-kick on Liam and even the first goal came from a very soft free-kick.

“At 1-0 we were still in it but the second one was the killer. Liam was clattered and I don’t understand how the ref can’t see that free-kick. Celtic then break up the other end and seal the game.

“I am not here to witch hunt officials and they say these calls even themselves up, but I am not seeing it at the minute. Celtic Park is a hard enough place to come to and to try and get something.

“Celtic are a fantastic team and thoroughly deserve their championship when it happens, but we feel mightily aggrieved today.”

Something for them to ponder over… How long does it take them to get in bids and sort out which one is best for the club, or is it just a case of getting as much money (owed probably) for their work some say close to £700 a day and getting it before the tax man when or if something happens and will this money be split between the administration firm and one of whytes companies now theres something that would not surprise me…

Also “I am not here to witch hunt officials and they say these calls even themselves up, but…”

Can I just check a couple of points:
    Lomas is ginger – check
Lomas is from Norn Iron – check
Lomas was a battling midfielder – check
Lomas feels referees don’t give him the rub of the green – check
Lomas doesn’t manager Celtic – check and mate.

Surely Mr Lunny will be typing up a letter as we speak. In the interest of fairness and all that. Stubhoy, I though the administrator were on about 5 grand a day, approximately 600 pounds an hour. have i read this wrong?

I note that Steve Lomas is completely ignoring the penalty in the first half when Samaras was both pulled and kicked. Clearly he has tunnel vision if the free kick was soft….despite Samaras being pummelled from the back THREE times before the referee deemed it was a foul !

Sandaza penalty claim….he was struck by the back of Loovens with the ball some 5-10 yards away…similar to players obstructing a striker to let the ball run out of play.

Liam Craig took a poor touch and over stretched for the ball, completely off balance and Commons was able to win possession or does he want no contact at all unless it benefits St Johnstone ??
