A video of Steven Gerrard and his agent arriving in London is causing meltdown among Ibrox fans.
Yesterday there was intense speculation that the former England star was interested in the managerial vacancy at Aston Villa. Normally in football things operate the other way around.
There appeared to be no developments this morning on the story but the video from the Ibrox Channel, a podcast with 3,000 Twitter followers since formation in January 2018.

During the international break it is assumed that Gerrard would spend quality time with his family on Merseyside, taking a trip to London with his agent suggests some pressing matters need addressed.
Arriving in Birmingham by train might be too much of a giveaway but with most foreign football clubs owners having a base in London contract talks can progress more discreetly.
That video at the train station wasn’t placed there by accident.

Our ceo and one of our owners are based in London. That’s where talks happen but the final details happen at the belfry in Birmingham

If I wasn’t concerned already, I now am at the sight of Steven Gerrard and his agent arriving in London together. This does not look good for his future at Rangers. If he does want to leave then it needs to happen quickly as we have a semi final at Hampden in 2 weeks ffs!

A lot of head in the sand stuff going on here. He’s almost certainly gone.
Wouldn’t mind GVB or Lampard in.

Felt exactly the same when Grealish was reportedly moving to City, denial and hope he was staying then realism when you knew.

This is hilarious.
Do Sevconauts not realise that there are rail and road links between Birmingham and London?
Unlikely, given that most sevcvnts live in the 17th century.
