Ange Postecoglou didn’t miss Kenny Macintyre when he was tackled by the BBC Scotland reporter straight after tonight’s 2-0 win over St Mirren.
After two games without a goal the hoops were pleased to get back to winning ways thanks to second half goals from Cameron Carter-Vickers and Callum McGregor.
The win maintained Celtic’s three point lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership and nudged their goal difference advantage up to 10 more than their Glasgow rivals.
It seems that the ‘narrowness’ of the win had an impact on Macintyre but goals in the 55th and 81st minutes would suit most managers chasing a title at this stage of the season.
Kenny Macintyre: “That was a hard watch at times – is that fair?”
Ange Postecoglou: “It depends what you’re looking for – maybe you’re disappointed with the way it went, mate.”

Interviewing the manager soon after the final whistle is one of the toughest challenges in broadcasting- especially when you are broadcasting live.
The usual format of simply asking if a manager is delighted/disappointed by the result is the tried and tested format but Macintyre decided to go in strongly with his own personal feelings- with the Celtic boss hitting straight back.
Rangers are my team, never hidden that. Be strange to have someone working on Sportsound that didn’t support a team.
As for Kris Boyd. I know at times he is a wind up merchant, but he talks up our game. Would he be in the Sky studio tonight if he wasn’t such a big personality?

The BBC website (22.12) reported:
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou bristles a bit at suggestions that the game won’t live long in the memory.
He tells BBC Sportsound: “We dominated the ball and it’s hard when the opposition sits so deep. I thought we were solid, we stayed composed and did what we had to do to wear down the opposition.
“It’s how most teams set up against us and the important thing for us was not to get sidetracked by any anxiety. We’ve been unbelievable at home this year, the way we’ve controlled games.”
Postecoglou then says he is unaware of the Rangers result, adding: “I don’t care. It makes no difference to us. What’s important is if we are winning games then we are in good shape.”
Right in the haw maws.
The bitterness and hatred is spewing out of McIntyre..How would the reaction be from the Unionist entitlement gang be if some Press Clown went after GVBat every chance.Incidentally,I think GVB,is a good decent Man much more decent than Gerrard will ever be.
