Shining more light on Celtic’s ‘controversial’ penalty at Ross County

The hysterics from Andy Walker, Kris Boyd and the Gullible & Deluded almost seemed to be syncronised.

Programmed to believe that every single VAR call should go against Celtic they were eagerly anticipating the half-time interval in Dingwall with the match goal-less.

With a Glasgow Derby seven days away some were daring to dream that there could be a title race to discuss going into the post split fixtures.

So near, and yet so far.

In first half stoppage time Alex Iacovitti had one more job to do, earlier in the half Cameron Carter-Vickers had headed over the bar while unmarked.

Iacovitti wasn’t taking any chances as the cross came in from the left, nervously he pushed his left arm out at the Celtic defender, as the ball came over he grabbed at the jersey as the ball bounced off his arm.

There was no great danger to the Ross County goal but their experienced central defender felt that he could get away with one.

It backfired, Jota scored, pundits and moon-howlers squealed about Celtic getting a decision that is easy to justify.

All the “the rangers” support, Pundits, smsm, are correct the defenders arm is in a (natural position) to impede CCV that is.

As the referees “DON’T” tell anyone publicly why they give a decision maybe that’s why the penalty was given
