The countdown is underway to Glasgow’s biggest party of the year as Celtic fans celebrate winning the SPFL Premiership title.
Party HQ will be between Glasgow Cross and the Merchant City with High Street, Gallowgate and London Road also set to be involved in the festivities.
With Saturday’s match against Aberdeen kicking off at 12.30 from 4pm onwards that area of the city centre will be at a standstill as Celtic fans celebrate an astonishing season of success for Ange Postecoglou and his squad.
Up against the Europa League finalists coached by the wily fox that is Giovanni van Bronckhorst the hoops won 31, drew 2 and lost 1 as they clinched the title at Tynecastle with four matches to spare.
After the match against Aberdeen the SPFL trophy will be presented in front of 60,000 fans in the stadium and millions watching worldwide. After that the party really gets underway with the weather forecast predicting bright sunshine all day long with the afternoon temperature around 18 degrees.

So much has been made of CELTIC being beaten by “the rangers” but of the 3 games played since the split only 1 had something to play for and that was the Hearts game and CELTIC won and in doing so won the league. Sure we would like to have won the other games but there was no trophy at the end of them . The only meaningful game left is the final against ICT.
