Following on from the appointment of a manager Ibrox fans have been studying the fashion sense of Philippe Clement.
Being presented with a new manager on a Sunday morning came as something of a shock for loyal bears with Clement breaking with tradition by wearing a shirt and club tie with a pair of jeans.
With barely a trophy to celebrate in the last decade the Gullible & Deluded like to think that they are a cut above the rest, not the place for scruffs or tracksuit managers even after 10 months of watching Micky Beale playing to the gallery.
Clement should be presented to the media this week with a club blazer, flannels and brown brogues expected by fans starved of football success.
In terms of the real job Clement will have to get a tune out of the flops that got Beale sacked after seven SPFL matches of the season with the Belgian the third manager in a year tasked with stopping Celtic’s trophy domination.
Am I a fan of the jeans? No.
But, that’s a proper, centralised knot in the tie, and it’s sitting at the perfect length just above the buckle. A neat taper on the shirt, which has a proper collar that doesn’t need held down with buttons.
A promising start. pic.twitter.com/Kn8L3FBcDW

You’re very welcome. ?

Stitching looks bronze to me. Would be an odd chino choice.

He’s looking sharp. Shirt with the jean combo is a football manager vibe tbf in Europe. As long as they aren’t skinny-fit ankles out with no socks and fresh sneaks because he’s to Aild for that carry on.

I was personally looking for a little forward angle on the knot and then slightly hitched up to cover the top of the shirt but it’s a promising start.

The shoes. We need to see the shoes!

Bootcut jeans + a pair of light brown Timberlands 90’s style apparently, deeply concerning.
Obviously the attacking football he’s known for helps to give this some context.

Promising, indeed but the corner of the tie should be hitting the top of the waistband so that point is at the middle of the belt.
Marginal gains…— David Gilchrist (@Dodeslad) October 15, 2023
Tbf, that is as perfect a tie knot/length as you are ever likely to see. If he applies that sort of fastidiousness to the team, we are in for a treat.

To be fair, the dugout has become like the catwalk in recent times, with the stylish Pep leading the way…. that’s why a scruff like Ian McCall can’t get another gig in management- he looks like tramp?
For the love of fu.k. Is that a wind up. It’s like Wayne and waynetta slob judging a fashion contest.
Jeez Oh – He’s even under dress scrutiny already – It’ll soon be stress scrutiny…
Surely his Fashion will even strike better than that player they had called Fashion !
(Though I’m eternally grateful that his misses at Hampden v Celtic went a helluva long way to securing The Hoops our world record 8th treble) !
It looks like his wee distant cousin – Alex Rae – will be staying on to advise Clement on all things Glasgow ….. who came up with that brainwave in downtown Govan ?
Theresa May could command £100k for a speech. And she used to go to Church on a Sunday – with her jeans on!
Who was she trying to impress?
Oh……If only vaginas were allowed to post on X…That would be fun….Oh…wait a minute.?
