With a five minute scripted interview Brian Wilson has strengthened the call for fans to boycott the Celtic v Dundee Scottish Cup tie.
The interim Celtic chairman is every inch a politician.
Every sentence oozes contempt for the ordinary people and the truth.
Wilson’s message was pitched very much towards Celtic’s faithful legacy media messengers.
‘Look, I’m a decent guy, lets talk, we all want to back the team, fill the stadium’.
WILSON- 100% POLITICIAN, MADE IN WESTMINSTER
As we know with politicians, don’t trust a word that they say. They have one interest, self survival. Keeping their snout in the trough.
Wilson has been on the Celtic gravy train for over 20 years. Contribution to the club zero.
An annual salary way above the national average wage for attending a monthly board meeting and nodding through every move by the club executives.
Agreeing with the brilliant move to appoint Wilfried Nancy. Backing Michael Nicholson’s planned decline. Over the course of 12 months the CEO has taken Celtic from toe-to-toe with Bayern Munich over 177 minutes to third place in what should be a one horse race.
Wilson has accepted Directors Box tickets, expenses, first class travel, expenses, access to tickets for friends and claimed it all back on expenses.
Paid to watch Celtic and approve every decision taken by CEO. A taker, fans are givers.
Two days after the Celtic Fans Collective voted to boycott the Dundee match Wilson decided to speak to Gerry McCulloch.
I accept there hasn’t been as much engagement as I would’ve liked over the past month for a range of reasons, but most recently because of the focus on the transfer window.
We have reached out. We’ve reached out to every supporters’ group and I hope these meetings will take place within the next week or so. Let’s see if we can go forward. There is no reluctance on my part to engage, and I hope that can be put into practice soon.
Was Wilson involved in transfer business? What qualifies him for that, as he checking out the data, analysis and footage of Ben Athur?
Was Wilson reviewing Joel Mvuka’s form at Lorient? Was he checking the medical results before rejecting a permanent move?
DENY AND DEFLECT
Truth is Wilson spends most of his time attacking the Scottish Government in regular columns for The Scotsman.
He became Celtic Chairman on January 1, four days later he asked for unity as Martin O’Neill returned as manager.
Wilson acknowledged an open letter from the Collective.
They then suggested three dates to have a meeting. The chance to get together with the direct toxic presence of Peter Lawwell.
Wilson ignored it. Now we find out that he was all wrapped up in transfer business. Another missed opportunity with Celtic making five loan signings.
All that was required from Wilson was to send an email suggesting February 3, 4 or 5 to meet with the Collective.
Instead invites were sent to half a dozen fan groups on Thursday, not the Collective.
SCRIPED DEFLECTION
Having ticked that box Wilson then sorted out his Celtic TV script with McCulloch. Coming over as genuine and sincere as Nicholson or Lawwell.
Once again the Celtic board has provided an open goal for the Collective.
Just like the anger of Dermot/Ross Desmond at the AGM and the contempt for shareholders shown by former Chairman Lawwell.
Wilson could lift the suspension of the Green Brigade this morning.
Instead he has teed up the questions for O’Neill to answer ‘I see that the club is having talks with fan groups, hopefully the fans will get behind the team against Dundee’.
Tactics from the eighties and nineties. Exposed and blown apart in 2026. Wilson is a man out of his time, time to resign and dedicate more time to writing about the nasty SNP and those ferries.
Labour is in a battle with their Tory Better Together partners for third place at the May elections for the Scottish parliament.

Soup taker!
Is it true the affiliation has left the collective,.
If so ,that will be the split the board were banking on
Seems an SNP post. The party of Mark MacDonald, Maureen Ferrier, Derek Mackay, Michael Mathieson, Natalie McGarry, Patrick Grady, Alex Salmond, of failing to dual the A9, the ferries debacle, the bottling scheme. Makes Brian Wilson look like a good guy.
Editor: Only to the lads over at Thick News is Wilson a good guy. As evil as his Labour comrades from Jim Murphy through to Mandy.
Spoken like a true Brit, your imperial masters in London will be so proud of you.
Brian Wilson the Labour Party mandelson sleaze ripping of pensioners Starmer , this is who Celtic associate with says it all really spend nothing on players and take as much money from fans as they can and hurl insults at us . Stop giving them your money
Well Said ?
BJF you are a strange person. How you connect the accusations laid out against Wilson with the dualling of the A9 is beyond me. I dont know, maybe you’re a staunch Labour man or even a Tory, but it shouldn’t blind you to the fact that Wilson is a snake as far as Celtic are concerned
As the Native Americans would say, white man speak with forked tongue .
Ahh, they actually dont.
Altbough its true that when the lone ranger and tonto were surrounded by cherokee, no way the LR said to tonto looks like we have to fight to the death. Tonto replied whos we kimo sabe
Whit? Call off the boycott then we’ll mibbaes mibbae?
Naw, mate.
The pressure’s getting to them.
Joe that Wilson is a fkn weasel rat sooner he gone to a nursing home the better and only group he should talk to is the Celtic collective, thanks again Joe to you and the rest of celtic bloggers for exposing their lies and games
Split the support by giving invites to the weakest groups who will do the clubs bidding
not the first time the boards done this
I would hope ALL parties refuse to attend any meeting if only specific groups selected rather than The Collective.
Personally I am against a boycott, much prefer if the Collective produced scarves the fans could purchase Distinctive maybe Green & Yellow – Even with SACK THE BOARD the funds raised could then pay for a huge tifo’s to again get the message out loud & clear…This board is full of incompetents, nodding yes men and has NO vision at all.
This chap Wilson is not the brightest, is he…?
Mibbees there is a valid, rational reason why Board members are reluctant to expose
their intellect via interviews – even in-house interviews! 🙂
Keep digging that hole Wilson, MN and the rest…
He is a Typical Dullard Right Winger.

I am 82 and have supported Celtic through thick and thin my whole life. Unfortunately, as a long standing season ticket holder for the first time in my life feel disenfranchised from the club I love.
I had the misfortune to attend and hear Brian Wilson speak at a meeting during a Referendum meeting. He was introduced to the audience by the number of directorships he held at that time.
His arrogance and the way he tried to belittle people who questioned him was breath-taking.
He also questioned the need for Food Banks. This from a man who is now acting Chairman of Celtic FC. He seems to be in completely denial of our roots as a club who fed the poor and today the Celtic Foundation carry on that noble tradition.
Get him and the rest of the charlatans out of the club.
Editor: Wilson and his values have no place at Celtic. Your values have stood the test of time.
Terrific Jim.
We probably don’t all agree on what steps we take, how we go about things but we most definitely agree that their time has come. In my view Lawwell got away with ‘murder’ and should be fully included in any peaceful protest. He’s earned it, unlike the millions he removed from our club, from our supporters pockets. Absolute rat.
I think we need to be more radical with this. Someone on here or another Tim site mentioned picketing. I agree.
Picket the turnstiles, the food and drinks areas, the stores, the front entrance to CP, let them know this is not going away until our aims are met which means they’ve cleared off.
Organised picketing of their homes would make them think, all of them. They’re snakes who want to leech off our support but give NOTHING in return. Gridlock the roads they live on, it wouldn’t take long to get a positive result. But do it peacefully, just protest without threat or violence. Placards etc. Picket them out of CP.
And back the Collective to toughen its stance. Meeting with Lawwell/Wilson/Nicholson and their ilk has proven/will prove pointless.
Don’t legitimise them, get them OUT.
BTW, I’ve donated my 1st tenner to the Collective and hope our support comes together and backs the Collective too.
‘We’re on the one road, sharing the one load………’
BRING BACK THE GB, BIN THE BOARD.
