Cameron Carter-Vickers is being tipped to be in the Celtic squad for today’s Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.
The defender has been out of action since suffering an achilles injury on October 23 at the very end of Celtic’s win over Sturm Graz.
That match was a hammer blow to Celtic with Alistair Johnston also suffering with a hamstring injury that required surgery.
Johnston has come roaring back into action in the post-split fixtures, playing a significant role in Celtic’s SPFL title success.
Now he could be joined on the pitch at Hampden today by his North American colleague.

Larry Henry Junior has provided very accurate updates throughout Carter-Vickers time at Celtic. Starting in July 2020 when the Spurs defender was first linked with a loan move.
In a reply to his tweet Henry Junior explains that the US World Cup squad will be announced on Tuesday. Carter-Vickers made one appearance at the 2022 World Cup Finals in Qatar.
SEVEN MONTHS OUT BUT CARTER-VICKERS ROARS BACK
After almost seven months out of action there will be an element of risk if Carter-Vickers makes an appearance today.
Against that he has been pictured taking a full part in Celtic training over the last month.
During their eight match winning run Liam Scales and Auston Trusty have cemented their places as the preferred pairing in central defence.
In recent weeks Dane Murray has been named as a substitute, making a 10 minute appearance last week against Hearts.
There has been no questions at recent media conferences about a return timeline for Carter-Vickers.
Throughout his injury lay-off he has remained involved with the squad, taking part in meetings and attending most matches.
There will be some fans concerned about Carter-Vickers returning for one domestic match but if he is involved at the World Cup Finals he should be fit and ready for the start of the 26/27 season.
