It isn’t the prettiest of sights but Jim White and Simon Jordan have been involved in some furious gymnastics over the last two days. Thankfully only verbal gymnastics.
For five full days the TalkSPORT duo were all affronted at Celtic winning the SPFL Premiership. Destroying the Hearts fairy-tale.
Of course White and Jordan couldn’t care less for Hearts or Scottish football. They do detest Celtic, and know that the Reform vote is the core of their audience.
Two male, pale and stale presenters that know the formula to engage with their audience.
The neutral Glaswegian that attended Kelvinside Academy and the smooth talking entrepreneur that drove Crystal Palace into administration.
Today Palace are worth hundreds of millions. Millions of reasons for Jordan to be jealous of Steve Parish.
All that wealth created, all that expertise and Jordan is stuck in a London radio studio four days a week with White!
On Monday morning Martin O’Neill shed his kindly old uncle image.
JIM WHITE IS TAKEN APART BY MARTIN O’NEILL
When White mentioned a tainted title he got the real O’Neill as he turned on the TalkSPORT anchor. It made for great radio, White showed his true colours with O’Neill destroying him live on air.
On Wednesday White got Tony Bloom on air. When the Hearts shareholder mentioned that two players had been assaulted White said nothing.
He didn’t ask for evidence to back up a very serious claim. White would rather get that claim out that establish if it was fact or fiction.
At a Hampden media conference on Thursday O’Neill took White and Bloom to task.
On TalkSPORT on Friday the backtracking began.
“Very unlikely they (Hearts players) were physically intimidated, I think they were heartbroken… McInnes said very strong words about disgusting decisions & bias…mindset was there.. they lost… then to suffer the indignation of Celtic fans taunting them…there’s optics” pic.twitter.com/gHjBN4KqVt

White: You think that it is all down optics of the Hearts players leaving the stadium with their kit still on.
Jordan: Yes, I do
White: But Tony Bloom…. said that one or two were physically intimidated
LIES JIM, LIES, HE TOLD YOU THEY WERE ASSAULTED, YOU WATERED THAT DOWN TO INTIMIDATED
Jordan:
Listen, if you are in a dressing room it is very unlikely that you are going to be physically intimidated. I think that the general reaction was that they were heart-broken.
And they were also aggrieved and affronted that they had to suffer the further indignation, not just the indignation of losing it on the last day of the season. When it meant so much to them, when there was so much of a build up.
They felt very aggrieved, Derek McInnes said very strong words about disgusting decisions. The bias about potentially decisions going towards the bigger clubs during the course of the season.
That led up to that game so the mindset was there. They’ve gone into Celtic Park, they’ve lost, their heart-broken.
At the same time they’ve then had to suffer the indignation of a section of Celtic fans running into the players faces and taunting then. That’s carried into the dressing room, the players are now broken and despondent.
So I do think that there are optics there, I don’t think that there was any jeopardy in the dressing room by getting changed and leaving.
I think they did that for their own purposes.
And at the same time I think that Hearts have slightly over-egging the pudding.
No assault. No mention of assault, the phrase used by Bloom on Wednesday that went unchallenged by the TalkSPORT duo.
Over-egging? Take a look in the mirror, something that Jordan and his sidekick are known to be passionate about.

Simon does not hate Celtic, you’re talking nonsense with that. What is reform got to do with this, a stupid thing to say. I’m a massive boxing fan, Simon is extremely knowledgeable with sport in general. He hates Celtic, absolute nonsense.
Editor: Jordan, not Simon, detests Celtic. Jim White detests Celtic. TalkSPORT utterly detests Celtic and Celtic supporters.
Did Simon Jordan detest Celtic, when he was wanting Celtic to beat Bayern Munich?. Simon has said lots of good things about Celtic, the reason I know, is because I listen to talksport daily, and his knowledge of sport is amongst the best. He takes no prisoners, if people want to go on the show, they better do there homework, because he will make people look ridiculous. I suggest you do your homework Joe. I think maybe it’s because he is English and British that you don’t like him ?. He hates Celtic supporters, never heard so much nonsense in my life.
