Three days on and the Daily Record’s attempts to highlight the Great Celtic Title Conspiracy is falling apart.
On Sunday Keith Jackson was in his pomp about the missing minute from the SPFL decider.
Of course there was no missing minute. Callum Osmand scored in the eighth minute of stoppage time with the match ended soon afterwards.
Jackson decided to create the ‘missing minute’ narrative to cloud Celtic’s 56th title success. A very painful number for the Murray Generation.
Naturally he admitted that Hearts weren’t about to score two goals in the ‘missing minute’ but it was only raised to detract from Celtic’s success.
AUDIO AND EVIDENCE DESTROYS THE GREAT RECORD CONSPIRACY
A nod towards sporting integrity and the veteran Daily Record reporter will have pressed the right buttons with the Gullible & Deluded.
Yesterday Jackson revealed that Hearts have been sent the audio of Don Robertson. After hearing it the ‘missing minute’ theory has been ditched.
3 minutes into Tuesday’s Record Hotline Jackson said:
All I’m saying is, and what I don’t know yet is so Hearts have got receipt of the audio. They’ve listened to it. They chose not to put out the statement that they were preparing for Sunday.
Now, I don’t know. Does that mean Hearts are satisfied with what they hear and that the issue is now over as far as they’re concerned? That is possible.
Or is there something else in in the audio that they they want to raise subsequent questions about? I’m not sure. Um I I’m struggling with why the audio isn’t just being released to, you know, to through people ourselves.
On Sunday Jackson was in a heightened state of excitement over the prospect of a second Hearts statement.
After defeat on Saturday the Edinburgh side mentioned ‘Reports of serious physical and verbal abuse towards our players and staff’.
The only part of that statement that matters is ‘reports of’. Since Saturday the Record and others haven’t come up with a shred of evidence to turn ‘reports of’ into something factual.
MEDIA PAIN OVERFLOWS AT CELTIC TITLE TRIUMPH
Despite the multitude of cameras and all of the smart phones in the Media Area.
A second Hearts statement never appeared. It seems that after prompting media messengers the audio arrived from the SFA.
There was no missing minute, or even a missing 10 seconds.
Jackson did have Plan B in place.
His column in Monday’s Record commented on:
Team mate Frankie Kent was one of several Hearts players who attempted to protect his skipper along with a couple of stewards. It’s understood Kent was blood spattered when he eventually made it inside.
To the surprise of no-one there is no evidence of Kent being blood splattered. Fortunately Jackson only ‘understands’ this, he isn’t reporting it as fact.
But he does put it out there.
We’ve had the missing minute and the blood splattered stories being pushed from the Record.
With the World Cup less than a month away hopefully they can move on and come to terms with another trophy for Scotland’s most successful club.
Jackson will be leading the Record’s coverage of the World Cup with print circulation about to plunge below 30,000 this summer.
Printing of the paper read by Real Scots is scheduled to switch to Oldham next month.
NOTE: At Hampden yesterday Steve Clarke was asked about the Celtic Park pitch invasion. By 300 fans lasting around three minutes. Clarke didn’t bite with a shock, horror reply.

Why would Hearts mention “reports” in their statement Joe. Surely any player assaulted would have mentioned that to McInness after the match. If any Hearts player had been accosted Hearts statement would have included that as factual. The usual fabrication of untruths to tarnish the good name of Celtic Football Club.
No mention of the hearts player’s willful damage to someone’s phone by stamping on it several times
Inaction was also relying on ‘sources ‘ for his white hot exclusive in which he ‘doesn’t know !’ You know those invisible unnamed individuals whose word is always gospel truth when in fact it’s all worse than fake news . That mob at the daily Record are hurting badly led by Jackson .
The game had already surpassed the alloted added time scale when the 3rd goal was scored so there was no missing minute or else Hearts would have released a statement in double quick time !
The only thing missing is Inaction’s brain . This has to be his last season at the Record ?
Ive nothing to say about Jackson, or his rag paper. They are what they are and they’ll never change!
What I am curious about is, where is all the SMSM frenzy of questioning regarding who gave the go ahead for the jam tarts keeper to go up for that final free kick, leaving a wide open goal for any one of the three Celtic players who were still switched on? Im sure he wouldnt have done it without getting the go ahead from someone in their dugout! Please, please let it have been have the bronzed bigot! I’d love to hear him explain that away. ??
This guy cannot be allowed anywhere near celtic anymore. If stewart cops a ban from the sfa for doing sfa then this bloke can be banned sine die
The record and the ragers have the same DNA and all that goes with that , and as the ragers are third rate the record is as bad so dontvread their crap why would you
Francie and Shankland both were guilty of lashing out,Kent stamping on a fans mobile phone at one point,oh one point, never meant that,League won fair and square
Joe the sunbed bigot and the hun cousins crying a river…Long my it last and it’s glorious to behold, God bless Scotlands most successful club.
