Don Hutchison has taken part in the most ridiculous Question and Answer session culminating in being asked about Derek McInnes managing Celtic.
For the benefit of Best Betting Sites it isn’t going to happen.
It is less likely that Danny Rohl hosting an SPFL title party at Falkirk next Saturday.
A recent media trend has been for betting firms to get a high profile pundit or former player to fire off answers about clubs they used to play for.
Gordon Strachan is a regular on the scene.
As a manager he was no fan of the media. At some conferences he could barely hold back on his contempt for those asking questions.
Offer him a tidy sum of money to cover a variety of Celtic matters and he’ll sing like a canary.
Today Best Betting Sites had Hutchison answering questions that he has little interest in.
Could Celtic be tempted to appoint Derek McInnes?
That’s a hell of a question. I would say, from my point of view, it wouldn’t be a problem. But hardcore Celtic fans are too green-and-white to potentially take someone from Rangers. Now, that might have changed over the years; that might have softened slightly. I don’t know, because I’m not in Glasgow—I’ve not got eyes and ears on the ground for how much it really matters anymore. They might have the intelligence to think, “Well, you know what? We’re going to get a cracking manager and we’re going to get a manager that’s won the league, so why wouldn’t we take him?” So yeah, it’s a fascinating question which I’m not sure actually what the answer is.
It is difficult to know where to start.
The same interview claimed that Sunday’s ‘Old Firm’ match is the biggest in years. Hutchison thinks this is the biggest ‘Old Firm’ since the days of Walter Smith.
Clearly Best Betting Sites have no idea about McInnes and his baggage. Would a follow up question be if he would bring Neil McCann in as an assistant.
MCINNES TO CELTIC IS A NO ON EVERY LEVEL
McInnes and McCann were on stage with Donald Findlay in 1999 belting out their favourite anthems of hate.
Recently another video clip emerged of McInnes. Typically legacy media outlets ignored it.
Only Dermot Desmond knows who the next manager of Celtic will be.
McInnes likes a round of golf but for a variety of reasons he won’t be joining Desmond any time on the fairway.
Martin O’Neill and Robbie Keane are the favourites, neither need any introduction to Celtic’s largest individual shareholder.
Wilfried Nancy and Paul Tisdale were sacked on January 5. Nothing has been heard of from the club on their replacements.
CEO Michael Nicholson hasn’t said a word in public since backing Nancy on December 17.
Even mute Mike wouldn’t contemplate opening talks with the current Hearts boss.
Derek McInnes here chanting the Billy Boys – a chant used by l, and synonymous with, the leader of the KKK in Scotland in the 1930s.
Not for the first time either.
