For the third time in a year Barry Ferguson is delighted by the appointment of a new manager at Ibrox.
Neil Lennon and Scott Brown could probably get fitted out for the blazer and brogues and Ferguson would be telling Daily Record readers that it was just what the club needed.
To be fair to Ferguson he does vary the script. Russell Martin, Danny Rohl and now Derek McInnes have had the full treatment.
Each time he comes up with a fresh angle to explain the brilliance of the new joker in the dug-out.
For McInnes it is the dream job, the one that he has worked 19 years towards achieving. Signed by Walter Smith as a player Del boy started 10 league matches over five years before moving on.
With a salary as a club Ambassador and media gigs with the Daily Record and Go Radio Ferguson has a few plates to spin.
And no matter how ridiculous he looks the income streams remain in place.
Genuinely, never has one man been so wrong, over such a long period of time… ? https://t.co/nT2nqjTFsK pic.twitter.com/7fG9rPSA1n

Presumably with a straight face, Ferguson tells Record readers:
And I really do hope this is the end of the revolving door of bosses coming and going at Ibrox.
McInnes is the eighth full-time appointee in the last nine years and frankly that’s just too many.
The club needs stability and a safe pair of hands.
ABSOLUTELY THE RIGHT MAN- FERGUSON ON EVERY NEW MESSIAH
And each of those appointments has been hailed as an act of genius by Ferguson.
Exactly the right man at the right time. To come up with the answers to the issues that resulted in the sacking of the previous messiah.
Nine years ago McInnes was slaughtered by angry bears for knocking back the chance to manage the Tribute Act.
Now without the addition of a trophy to his CV he is the ideal man for the latest set of owners.
The so-called 49ers have turned out to be a massive let-down. Mainly because they aren’t the 49ers and are run by plain old Andy Cavenagh.
Martin required to get through seven rounds of interviews to get the manager’s job a year ago.
It was a much more streamlined process for McInnes.
The former Hearts boss is the sixth permanent manager since 2021. None of them have completed a full season in charge.

Maybe wee bawwy will now pay back his EBT scam tax avoidance that led to his bankruptcy now he has 3 jobs, hopefully HMRC are watching and ready to recompense the taxpayer that wee bawwy robbed from them .
Is the dough he earns still being paid over to the Mrs ? He’s nearly got as much work from various sources which would compare with Mr Faddy ! Maybe they have the same accountant . World class financial advisers? Why not ….
I think it’s a bit unfair picking on that particular, horrid, little shit as he’s about as dumb as they come. Let’s just say if his brain turned to TNT and a detonator was pushed into one of his lugs, the resultant explosion wouldn’t be enough to ‘blow’ his nose.
Next season FC of Liebrox…
But this time it’ll be different…
It really, really, really will…
And then the nightmare returns for them…
That said – If the miserable old grey b*astards repeat 2025 summer transfer window McInnes could well triumph St,Martin…
Keep the cash off Butchers Apron reeves and give it to Martin and we should prevail !
