Late this afternoon the most predictable breaking news emerged from Celtic.
Martin O’Neill and Robbie Keane are the leading candidates to become the new manager.
Naturally the process is being driven by Dermot Desmond.
No one bats an eyelid that a Non Executive Director that never attended a match between December11 and May 16.
Normal clubs have a CEO doing this sort of thing.
The last time Michael Nicholson surfaced was to recruit Wilfried Nancy.
A normal, functioning club would have found a new CEO. Today Nicholson continues to drain £17,000 a week out of Celtic
There was virtually no positive or constructive feedback to the Breaking News on Sky Sports.

Celtic fans are left hoping for the least worth option. Obviously O’Neill.
The cynic might think that the best way to dress up O’Neill as the permanent manager is that he isn’t Robbie Keane.
You can never be too cynical when it comes to working out the way that Celtic are operating.
CELTIC DOING BUSINESS IN THEIR UNIQUE WAY
Clearly there is a very narrow field of competent manager prepared to work in the unique Celtic way.
Where Nicholson and Chris McKay negotiate for project signings then send an email to Desmond for approval.
If O’Neill takes the job he has virtually no excuses if he fails to take Celtic through a Champions League Play Off in August.
Brendan Rodgers picked up 12 points and a Round of 16 Play Off in season 24/25, it can be done.
O’Neill knows the squad inside out. He knows who wants to leave. He knows the Recruitment structure, those that identified and signed Joel Mvuka, Junior Adamu and other non-achievers in January.
The 26/27 SPFL season starts in two months time.
The Champions League Play Off is 10 weeks away.
Time isn’t in Celtic’s favour. They have effectively wasted five months since sacking Wilfried Nancy.
The club has so much work to do. Judging by the pace they are working at to get a manager in next season looks like starting where the25/26 season ended.
A club in turmoil desperately needing success from a manager to cover up the multiple failings elsewhere.
6 months since Nancy was lobbed out a fire exit and this is the only 2 options the lazy Tory ratbags have came up with, not adverse to MON but it’s lazy and condescending towards the fans

Neither is the answer going forward, had two guys in ange and Rodgers wanna take us/push us to a higher place in Europe.
Now we’re going back the way, with 2 Desmond yes men— C M (@CM1888N) June 1, 2026
Keane has done absolutely nothing to merit a mention for the Celtic job
Dermot Desmond is destroying the soul of Celtic
We the Supporters are to blame as we have stood by and let him tear down everything we stood for
Keane is a Repulsive figure— Dannylogan (@Dannylo89011163) June 1, 2026
Nice to see we ticked ‘Ireland’ on the nationality filter.
Scouring far and wide for the best option as ever.— Steven Clark (@hotbaws1) June 1, 2026
Keane wouldn’t be anywhere near the job if he wasn’t Irish and an ex player!
His CV is miles off it.
MON is the only viable option at this stage as the board are utterly useless!— Nicholas McDade (@NicholasMcDade3) June 1, 2026

Is the proof reader job still up for grabs?
Fuck off keane
Here we go again with the penny pinching doing it the cheap way.
So there you have it sesson books renewed, time for the board to shite on us all now, from a great height.
We really only have ourselves to blame, and we have theccheek to laugh at sevco for stupid and getting the piss took out of them.
Knew this would happen hence why after 10 years enough is enough I didn’t renew my season book had enough of being treated like a mugg fuck the board
Not very keen on Keane, pardon the pun.
I like Keane, so much pish talked about him but it will be ignored naturally. I am not sure he has achieved enough but then a lot of people’s about Ange and of course Nancy, you pays your money. On balance I would prefer another season of O’Neill, Maloney and Fotheringham, McManus. Woods.
I don’t care about Martin O’Neill’s age, if he wants to stay we should be absolutely ecstatic at the prospect, have a look on the Sevco massage boards and it’ll show you that the tramps are shitting themselves he stays…
HH
Anyone see it being St.Martin as Sporting Director or whatever the F*ck it’s called and Keane as dugout manager !
Realistically, it was all about the lambs to the slaughter. Season book renewal. So they will do as they always do carry on regardless because who are we as supporters means NOTHING to them. It doesn’t matter if the collective says let’s all all boycott a game. Why bother? They all ready have your money. Basically, you’re all cardboard cut outs. Someone mentioned earlier in a posts that we used to laugh at them. We’re fast going down the same track.
