Brian Wilson has dished out his monthly dose of contempt to the Celtic support.
Adding a special touch he couldn’t even be bothered with recording a video for the July instalment.
Wilson’s last ‘supporters update’ was on June 11, the day that Martin O’Neill was announced as manager.
Today’s statement comes the day after the £11m signing of Kasper Hogh from Bodo Glimt.
In-between Celtic opted out of any form of communicating other than a horrific trip to Cork to ambush the AGM of the AICSC.
That visit included six questions asked by fans with no follow up.
Despite that straight-jacket Michael Nicholson admitted that he can’t cope with agents. Celtic are apparently competing with EPL and Championship clubs for players.
Today Wilson was announcing the outcome of a pointless Fan Engagement exercise.
Absolutely nothing has been acted on from the Fan Survey carried out in July 2024.
BRIAN WILSON IS A LIFELONG LABOUR POLITICIAN
After an extensive period of activity Wilson was thrilled to announce that the long serving Supporters Liaison Officer has a new title!
From today John-Paul Taylor will be known as Appointment of a Head of Supporter Engagement.
Tugging on the heart strings Wilson name checked Jock Stein while patronising of supporters. Surprisingly there was no mention of buying the current third kit styled on the paving stones of Lisbon:
Jock Stein famously said ‘football without fans is nothing’. Celtic supporters are renowned throughout the world for their passion and commitment to the Club.
The power to make a difference when united in support of the team was confirmed in dramatic fashion in the closing stages of last season.
We made a commitment to improving our approach to supporter engagement and to create a structure through which better two-way communication can be achieved between the Club and the broad base of the support. This will be built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to Celtic’s continued success.
There is already a lot of good work done in this area, particularly through our Supporter Liaison Officers and regular meetings with long-established supporter groups, which are continuing. We now aim to do more to enhance the breadth and quality of that engagement.
The entire exercise is an attempt to side-line the Celtic Fans Collective.
With extra doses of contempt for the anti-establishment supporters hopefully the Collective will grow in strength.
On February 18 Wilson met with the Collective and promised a follow up within a month. The Collective haven’t heard from the former Labour MP since.
Wilson has been interim Chairman since January 1, during that time Nicholson hasn’t said a word.
In his last club interview Nicholson discussed three employees being attacked at Celtic Park after the League Cup Final defeat to St Mirren.
So far no arrests have been made. Or CCTV release from the club.

The Desmond and his accomplices don’t change spots ,they want our money ,all of it every single penny ,they have a ravenous appetite for our money , and they have made a good living off our backs , every single penny that funds it’s way into Celtic fc comes either directly or indirectly from us the fans ,and they try to tell us our contribution is not that much ,stop giving them your money or you are complicit in the destruction of our club
Another bullshit statement that reeked of desperation. NOT ANOTHER PENNY. It is indeed working, slowly but surely.
Never trust a loyalist and unionist Labour B*astard…
Neither Wilson nor any of their voters either !
“…This will be built on mutual respect… ”
I think I can spot a problem with the ex-politician’s latest, nonsense quote?
He’d be better off just not saying anything at all – like he normally does.
I see the board will be on the recruitment panel to decide the fans they talk to. Sounds a bit like the Fans Forum sycophants will be filling their boots again. Divide and conquer anyone ?

A shop window of opportunity for a bargaining deal. The spiv is wearing his adidas hat to patronize the customer. It pays dividens to talk.
