One key difference is that Rangers are dead, City are very much alive. City aren’t even under threat of administration. Rangers went through administration to liquidation in just five months. 276 creditors left high and dry.
City pay multiple millions to His Majesty on time every month. In September 2011 Rangers stopped paying Her Majesty.
While the EPL have clamped down on Manchester City the SFA and SPL went out of their way to protect and help Rangers.
Cheating is the only bond between Rangers and Manchester City.
Rangers didn’t get sent down the divisions or got relegated. They died, the weren’t around to be punished.
Manchester City are about to face justice from the football authorities.
They should be around to face their punishment- unlike the club that the Record helped into a grave in June 2012.
