24th August 2025; St Mirren Park, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland, Scottish Premiership Football, St Mirren versus Rangers; Ex Rangers player Kris Boyd
Kris Boyd and Andy Halliday were a picture of misery as they reflected on Dundee’s 2-2 draw with their favourite team.
It made for exceptional Saturday night viewing on Sky Sports as the Ibrox Tribute Act missed the chance to go into top place in the SPFL Premiership.
Recently Boyd has been showing false concern over Celtic’s problems.
Celtic fans know that their club has multiple issues to face. There is barely an element of Celtic that is functional, none are world class despite the aspirations of Muke Mike, the £17k a week CEO.
It seems that two Derby victories has blinded Boyd to the multiple failings of Derek McInnes and his squad of misfits.
From the Starting XI only Dujon Sterling has a winners medal from his time at Ibrox. That was four managers ago in a controversial League Cup Final against Aberdeen.
Pre-match much was made of the fantastic defensive record of the Ibrox side.
Any defence that includes Manny Fernandez is capable of shipping goals. It seems that Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen have dropped out of the race to sign the former Peterborough starlet.
@ScotlandSky Kris boyd raging now ahahahahahaha

Twice Dundee cut through the Ibrox defence to score.
The opening goal from Bradley Frink exposed the soft centre of defence that McInnes has cobbled together.
Leading 2-1 it was happy days for Boyd and Halliday as they tapped their toes to the vile songs coming out of the away end.
DISMAY AND DESPAIR FOR FUN GUY BOYD
Thankfully there were a few classics from the home support underneath the TV cameras.
‘Glasgow Rangers, you let your club die’ and ‘Walking away is the Rangers way’ were heard loud and proud. Twice the Dundee fans have got together to take their club out of administration. And not through liquidation.
The Dundee equaliser was a thing of beauty.
Fernandez and Raskin combined to put Dan Neil under pressure.
The new Ibrox skipper panicked when confronted by Callum Jones, two touches later the ball was in the net with Ivor Pandur unable to get his short arms close to the shot.
Boyd’s team had 20 minutes to find a winner. They failed with Sky Sports viewers treated to some high pitched hysteria passing for analysis as Boyd returned to the pits of despair.

I will take whatever crumb of comfort from sevco dropping points last night, but let’s not kid ourselves here,Dundee did something we couldn’t do,they didn’t just score once against sevco, they did it twice, while we shat the bed against them,so we need to calm down.
I do hope we are back on the road to recovery now,and that we get the win today and kick on,and start to put some distance between ourselves, sevco and Hearts.
This will be a tough game today, and should Hearts take anything from the game, the title will be involving 3 teams, and it would be stupid of us to be thinking anything else.
But a run today will give us some breathing space again, and keep us out in front.
I honestly thought they’d put in a performance last night, especially after their founding father’s inspired #bigandz speech……

Do you think Ms Barbour will ever ask big fake Kris Boyd to comment on the bigoted songs and tunes offered by theRangers fans at football matches …home and away on Sky Sports ?
The guy has a free rant afforded to him from the SS under her hosting every time his boat appears on the show about mostly why his pet project were either brutal or opposition teams were better in matches !
So a simple question to Boyd from the lady presenter like ‘ why do they need to sing such bigoted songs Kris ‘ would be very appropriate to allow Boyd to give us all an enlightened answer and instruction of it all ?
After all he does know a lot about the touchy subject of ‘the Billy Boys ‘ to explain it all … doesn’t he ! Now that would be a complete ‘game changer ‘tactic ..eah ?
