There was a special edition of The Trinity Tims podcast on Thursday with Tony from Four Tims (no relation) joining us for some Celtic chat.
With ACSOM announcing their audience with Brendan Rodgers earlier in the day Tony was the ideal guest.
On October 27 last year the world of Celtic was turned upside down.
First up the club announced that Brendan Rodgers had resigned. As that was being digested Dermot Desmond released a very personal attack on the outgoing manager.
As luck would have it Four Tims and a Podcast were broadcasting at that very time.
Tony’s reaction to the Desmond statement was incredible. There is nothing quite like the raw emotions of a Celtic fan. Nothing was held back, it wasn’t reigned in or sanitised.
Most of the chat on Thursday night revolved around the current problems at Celtic. Created by Dermot Desmond and implemented by his placemen on the Celtic board.
How to remove the influence of Desmond is an issue that many fans have discussed at length.
THE SHARE SET UP MYSTERY AROUND CELTIC
Although he only owns 34% of the shares almost every AGM motion goes through on at least a 98% vote.
Between the Season Ticket Holders Alliance and Celtic Supporters Limited plans are underway to identify and unify groups of shares.
These plans are at best medium term, nothing is going to happen quickly, nothing will change this season.
The share set up is at best unclear. There are around 30,000 fans/individuals with shares, many appear dormant.
But this isn’t a case like the Glazers at Manchester United. There isn’t much liquidity in Celtic shares but outside of Desmond and Lidsell Train there are some significant shareholdings that could be turned against the current regime. The Lindsell Train
One comment, from @ajsctech8249 carried more interest than most:
I will throw in my Theory about Rodgers’ June Visit to Glasgow and speculation regarding a Rodgers led Investment in Celtic.
Gaining just 10% of Celtic shares gains enormous amount of power and voting rights and it would only cost between 17 to 20Million pounds to gain a crucial 10% share hold. I suspect Brendan and another partner have found an existing shareholder who will sell that amount .
You don’t need to buy Desmond out but instead you could acquire a 10% stake and make his life a living hell by blocking a lot of his ideas. 10% gains you an enormous level of power to vote and block things.
Either that , or he is part of a bigger investment and June will be his Big announcement.
According to the club website Chris Trainer owns 10.98% of the club shares, Mark Keane 6.21% and Tom Allison 3.53%.
Obviously Allison can be discounted as a potential dissenter after over 20 years nodding things through including the appointments of his former Clydeport colleague Peter Lawwell.
Keane has been nominated onto the board as a Non Executive which leaves Trainer as the unknown quantity.
With the Alliance and CSL active in looking at share matters you’d expect Trainer and Keane to have had approaches.
The hysterical reaction to a few Tennis Balls confirms that all isn’t well at Celtic.
With Rodgers lurking in the background the pressure is on Martin O’Neill like never before.
After three defeats on the bounce a fixture run of Motherwell, Benfica, Hearts and Celta Vigo could do lasting damage to more than the team.

Our season is finished so get the boycotting started now.
Sevco will go top next weekend,we will be chasing them for the rest of the season.
Every weekend we will be under severe pressure as they play the day before us and will no doubt win.
No European football for sevco,I think that was the intention all along by McInnes,he knows the league is way more important to them than any cup games or European games.
He took the same hit last year with Hearts and it almost paid off,his plan is back on track again this season, and it looks like it’s going to work.
Let’s face it,at this moment in time,I can only see us going down 1 position in the league each week.
But not to worry, all that money in the bank, more trophies to count than sevco,a bigger stadium,60,000 sellout every other week,so the board see it as it ain’t broken,so why fix it.
But unless the boycotting starts to kick in,and we still sell the place, then only the fans have themselves to blame.
