Celtic and Charlotte FC are reported to have agreed a £10m deal for the transfer of Liel Abada.
The winger has been left out of the Celtic squad since an under par substitute appearance away to Hibs on February 7 with Brendan Rodgers putting the absence down to Abada clearing his mind.
The events in Gaza has put the player and his club in a near impossible position just months after a four year contract extension was signed.

Celtic signed the teenage winger from Petah Tikva in July 2021 with the new bhoy scoring the first competitive goal of the Ange Postecoglou reign with the opener against Midtjylland in a Champions League qualifier.
Alongside Jota and Daizen Maeda the Israeli internationalist played a key role in the successes enjoyed under two trophy filled seasons under Postecoglou.
Israel have a European Championship Play Off against Iceland on March 21, with the European transfer windows closed a move to the MLS is Abada’s only route to get fit and available for his country.

IF the deal goes through,
Abada will be agitating for a move again – immediately after the Euros?
Still can’t believe that £10M number though – from a USA club.
PR spin to make us think PL / MN have done decent business…?
The club has to learn from this,
and ensure a repeat scenario with a CFC player cannot happen?
The club and the fans need to learn from this…
The club for not identifying a clearly mentally weak individual that Abada clearly is –
And the fans for where upon finding out that Abada was mentally weak for not dropping their political support for what he perceived as his sworn enemies – hence his mental weakness and petulant behaviour coming to the fore in such a vital and critical season !
