Vaclav Cerny pulled a sickie as he called off from his side’s trip to Dundee last night.
The Czech winger has achieved cult status at Ibrox but no medals during his season long loan spell from Wolfsborg.
Over the last fortnight Cerny has played for the Czech Republic against the Faroe Isles and Gibraltar but pulled out of his club match away to Dundee due to a hamstring issue.
Cerny scored after 21 minutes against Gibraltar and played on until the 79th minute but rather than face Dundee reported back injured.
Before the match Barry Ferguson told BBC Scotland:
[Vaclav Cerny] has got a hamstring issue. He’s been for a scan, it’s not as bad as we first thought. He’s touch and go for next week. It opens the door for another player and that’s Hamza.
Hamstring injuries rarely last just a week, hopefully Cerny is pushed in training this week in order to be fit for Saturday’s match at home to Hibs.
As well as Cerny departing at the end of this season Tom Lawrence, Ianis Hagi and Leon Balogun are out of contract with Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo, Kieran Dowell and Jose Cifuentes returning from loan spells.

Wee message for Sevco lurkers…If ye canny be good…be lucky…again…and again…Spawny bastarts.
Or get cheats with whistles, flags and monitors to disallow a perfectly legitimate third goal for Dundee that would have had them home and hosed !
