Kris Boyd has spoken about issues behind the scenes as he tries to get Danny Rohl out of Ibrox.
Less than a fortnight ago Boyd was cosying up to the gormless German in the dug-out at Tynecastle.
Three defeats later and fans are baying for the sacking of Rohl.
Defeats to Hearts, Celtic and Hibs have burst Rohl’s bubble.
Even the Gullible & Deluded know it.
For months Rohl got by on not being Russell Martin.
Wearing a club tie, blazer and brogues even had some bears claiming that their manager ‘got it’.
The only thing that Rohl got was the Managerial Cycle.
BOYD KNOWS THE IBROX MANAGERIAL CYCLE
It has washed up Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Micky Beale and Phil Clement in around 12 months. Martin lasted 123 days but that included the close season.
Four defeats, a title collapse and the James Tavernier snub has pushed the current manager into the ‘at danger’ category.
At some stage in the next two weeks Rohl is expected to go on to gardening leave
Turning the knife in The Sun, Boyd explains:
Tavernier’s statement and Rangers’ performances suggest to me that there is a lot going on behind the scenes.
Is everyone pulling their weight in training? Are people turning up late in the morning?
Rangers need a strong, resilient manager to take them forward and I am not sure Rohl is that man.
Believe me, time-keeping and application in training is a big thing for any squad.
If there are players turning up nice and early, ready to go, and others are sauntering in when they feel like it, that has to be addressed.
If it’s not and they instead just get away with it, that has a huge impact in any dressing room.
Since Wednesday night, Rohl has tried to pass the bulk of the blame for the Tavernier situation onto the player himself.
The captain mentioned communication issues and that can’t be the case at the club If a Rangers manager can’t front up and deal with major situations face to face, then he is on to plums.
Something doesn’t sit right with me in all of this and it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a parting of the ways between Rohl and the club this summer.
Would Rangers instigate it? Would Rohl see what options he has as the Bundesliga links continue?
Having tried most of the exotic English and continental options there is one management option left to the current Ibrox owners.
An all-in True Blue management team of Real Rainjurz men.
A year ago Barry Ferguson was eased aside after three months touting himself for the managers job.
Having failed with the hipster that was Martin and discovered that Rohl just doesn’t ‘get it’ there is a very obvious successor. Already in house.
Ferguson has been saying all the right things in the media and can point to away wins at Fenerbahce and Celtic Park on his CV.
He would also have the universal backing of the Scottish media.
Over the last few weeks there has been growing attention placed on the lack of Scottish players in Rohl’s squad. Connor Barron and John Souttar are hardly standard bearers.
Ideally Boyd wants to see Derek McInnes in the manager’s job at Ibrox. His other pal Barry may be a more realistic option.

C’mon Celtic – Win today and make him consider jumping into The Fu**in Clyde !!!
