Despite finishing in third place in the SPFL Premiership it seems that the value of Danny Rohl’s squad has soared.
According to Transfermarkt the Ibrox squad is now valued at €134m!
That will come as a surprise to Andrew Cavenagh who has admitted that his squad are mentally weak and needing another summer clear out.
As previous owners have discovered the values given to players on Transfermarkt bear little resemblance to what happens in the real world.
It appears that the hype from the Daily Record and BBC Scotland are the driving factors in determining the values of players.
Topping the list is Manny Fernandez, the former Peterborough starlet is apparently valued at €18m.
ROHL AND THE TITLE BOTTLERS
In their last six matches the Ibrox defence lost 15 goals. Fernandez was comically bad at Celtic as Rohl’s side slumped to third place in the SPFL.
It seems that playing half a dozen competent games in January is enough to send your value soaring.
Fraser Fletcher of Team Talk had Fernandez valued at £25m in April. Arsenal were keen! Bottom line is that Peterborough are still laughing at the £3.5m they secured last summer.

After three and a half years without picking up a winners medal Nicky Raskin is valued at £12m. Good luck with that.
Raskin’s career and the fortunes of his club have gone backwards.
His Transfermarkt value is tracking that of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent.
Both were once valued at £15m, both left in 2023 as free agents. They have moved from club to club without any fees being paid.
The current Ibrox squad is in exactly the same situation.
Famously in the summer of 2024 the Scottish media was full of the incredible transfer fees flowing into Ibrox.
Sam Lammers, Connor Goldson, Todd Cantwell, Scott Wright and Robbie McCrorie left the club. The 2024 accounts recorded post end of year fees of £810,000 being received.
After spending over £40m on players this season Cavenagh is expected to put in a similar amount this summer. That won’t be funded by selling Fernandez and Raskin.
