During two transfer windows in 2026 the hoops haven’t made a single permanent signing.
It is doubtful if there is a top flight club anywhere in Europe that hasn’t signed a player in the calendar year.
It is absolutely cast iron guaranteed that no club in Europe would pay an executive team of Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay £1.5m a year.
Since January 5 Celtic have been without a Head of Football Operations.
The January loan signings followed a familiar depressing pattern. Martin O’Neill quickly side-lined them, turned to a core of 14 players and delivered a dramatic double success.
Last week Celtic were linked with Tjark Ernst from Hertha Berlin in Bundesliga II.
Today, with no progress made towards signing Ernst ‘attention’ has switched to the Spanish second flight.

Apparently Las Palmas are looking for £6-8m for the goalkeeper that they picked up as a free agent from Bulgaria two years ago.
With Scott McKenna and Ollie McBurnie in the side Las Palmas were relegated from La Liga at the end of the 24/25 season. Horkas played in 13 matches, losing 19 goals.

Halfway through a contract signed as a La Liga player Las Palmas are looking to sell the goalkeeper.

With no recognisable recruitment structure Celtic are likely sifting through recommendations from favoured agents before deciding who to sign.

If you’ve had a season ticket in your family for 20-30-40 years or more as some have, are you really gonna risk losing that for the sake of some protest?
Secure your season tickets, the only thing that will send a message is an EMPTY stadium.
Boycott games.
Either go and then walk out at an agreed time or just don’t go at all.
And the daddy of them all would be Sevco.
It couldn’t be ignored by anyone.
But for all we bleat about the board, and bleat about season tickets being bought, there’s still nobody with an appetite to miss a Sevco game to make a point.
If anyone gave me a reassurance that a boycott en masse was a certainty I would not hesitate.
But we all give validation to the survival lie by desperately wanting to beat them as if they were the dead club.
Truth be told there are very few fans actually willing to take a stand, a stand that actually makes a difference.

Too many individual Celtic supporters, and far too many Celtic sites, give the Huns validation by describing the new Ibrox entity as R*****s. This is a shocking state of affairs. Some supporters even sing about them, as if they were the original Ibrox club. How feckin’ difficult is it to call them by their real name? Sevco.
