Sky Sports are reporting that Celtic have agreed a one year contract with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The news emerged at 9.29pm on Friday night.
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Celtic in February on a short term deal, starting five matches and making seven appearances off the bench.
The 32-year-old made a scoring debut against Livingston but never fully kicked on.
Arne Engels return from injury effectively put an end to the contribution from Oxlade-Chamberlain who was an unused substitute in the final four SPFL matches before getting a 15 minute run out in the Scottish Cup Final.
Before joining Celtic the former England internationalist had been training with Arsenal after quitting Beskitas last summer.

The main task for Celtic will be getting Oxlade-Chamberlain match fit for the new season.
After his wedding on June 13it is believed that the midfielder has been training in Portugal.
Celtic should be expected to announce the deal over the coming days.
Martin O’Neill’s side face Shelbourne on Tuesday in their first pre-season friendly before heading to a training camp in Portugal.
With Engels expected to leave Celtic during the transfer window there is an obvious need to strengthen the midfield.
Whether Oxlade-Chamberlain is treated as a new signing or not barely matters with the clock ticking to the SPFL opener on August 3.
CELTIC HAVE A MAJOR REBUILD TO UNDERGO
Since the Scottish Cup Final Celtic have lost Kelechi Iheanacho and Marcelo Saracchi from their Hampden squad.
Neither player has signed elsewhere which leaves the door open for returns to Celtic.
Fans have been frustrated by the slow pace of transfers since the season ended.
How many new first team signings will Celtic have for the SPFL opener on August 3?
Two or less
Three or four new signings
Five or more
Celtic announced Martin O’Neill as permanent manager on June 11 but so far there have been no squad additions.
Chairman Brian Wilson claimed in an interview that there would be a very active couple of weeks coming up.
That pledge has yet to result in any new signings. Meanwhile there is speculation that Daizen Maeda, Alistair Johnston and Ben Nygren could move on after their World Cup involvement.

Was he really that impressive?
The word “If” is doing a lot of heavy lifting, and yet again, short termism from the suits.
Incapable of building anything thats gonna last more than a season and a half.
The whole board need to go see a therapist as it’s self harm at corporate level.
Desmond and his malignant cabal of corporate greed and austerity fc poundland Ltd, wake up they are taking us to the cleaners and laughing all the way to the bank , meanwhile their rewards of massive pension pots and salaries , meanwhile the season ticket holders have given carte blanch to them to do as they like. Stop giving them your money or you are complicit in the destruction of our club
It’s sad to say but you the fans are the biggest problem if you just keep buying st merchandise etc nothing will change and if your happy to plod along in the very poor spl we’ll keep doing the same thing”. I stopped buying merchandise years ago after many years supporting celtic still watch them now and again but spend nil on them .
Guess that’s a standard club signing which ticks the Board’s boxes:
convenient, minimal effort to acquire, free.
