After losing their League Cup quarter-final tie at home to Aberdeen Neil McCann turned brutally on his players.
There is no more sure fire sign of a manager about to be sacked.
All of the Kilmarnock players will have contracts until at least the end of the season.
McCann is heading for an autumn sacking, normally reserved for failed messiah’s at Ibrox.
After drawing 0-0 at Pittodrie last week in the SPFL Premiership Kilmarnock were favourites to win a place in the League Cup semi-final draw.
Aberdeen took the lead in 52nd minute with a well placed Kevin Nisbet header.
Just six minutes later the tie swung dramatically in Kilmarnock’s favour.
Firstly Dan Happe was given his second yellow card, from the free-kick Kilmarnock equalised with a glancing header from Tyreece John-Jules.
Kilmarnock had half an hour at home with a one man advantage to win the tie.
For years Sky Sports viewers and listeners to Radio Scotland have heard McCann explain how every manager outside of Ibrox gets it all wrong.
All animated as he explained the finer points of the game wee Neil only had one spell managing Dundee to back up his coaching brilliance.

This morning Kilmarnock are out of the League Cup and sitting bottom of the SPFL Premiership table with one point from five matches.
Despite their genius manager yesterday’s defeat was all down to the players failing to do what McCann told them.
See when he gets sacked, why should we have to listen to the likes of him on our tvs telling us how the game should be played? Scottish football media needs a full revamp that supports our game, not losers like McCann.

An extra man gives you possession easier but you still have to do it and come up with something.
That’s the difference between getting to a semi-final and not and we didn’t do enough of it which is so disappointing.
Psychologically the boys will be down and I hope they are because I’m hurting and all our fans are hurting.
They need to show they’re capable of recovering very quickly. Professional sport doesn’t allow you a lot of time to wallow in your misery.
McCann takes Kilmarnock to Hibs on Tuesday then hosts Hearts on Saturday.
After failing to take advantage of playing for 30 minutes with an extra player McCann was seen slaughtering his players going into extra-time.
Aberdeen missed their first penalty but that was followed by three pathetic penalties from Kilmarnock players that gifted the Dons a semi-final place.
Famously in 2020 McCann criticised Odsonne Edourard for scoring with a disrespectful penalty against Craig Gordon in the Scottish Cup Final.

He’ll be clutching his P45 before the clocks change, there’s nothing surer. The downside is he’ll be back on the Sportscene sofa or standing behind the breakfast bar at Pacific Quay before long, sanctimoniously explaining where every other coach got it wrong.
Fortunately mute buttons were invented for the likes of McCann, ‘Lump of Wood’ Thompson and that tramp Halliday, who dresses like he resides in a homeless shelter. We must have the worst sports media in Europe.
His problems are deep seated and psychological, nobody was forcing him to worship in the RC faith or support Celtic. His persistent anxiety and delusions has turned him into a little rat with no coaching ability whatsoever.
A thoroughly egregious character whose arrogance ranks alongside his favourite club. And yet his coaching and managerial record is truly dreadful. The Laptop Loyal Lapdogs of the SMSM love him and he’ll soon be back in front of the Cameras for BBC and Sky Sports and, his spiritual home, Sevco TV.
