Anthony Joseph has claimed that Celtic are close to agreeing a deal to sign Gvidas Gineitis.
He made that tweet claim AFTER the midfielder was included in the Torino side for a Coppa Italia clash tonight.
Convention has it that players close to a transfer business are wrapped in cotton wool to ensure that the deal goes through smoothly.
Celtic have been linked with Gineitis since June 30 when David Friel of The Sun broke news of the interest.
Various stages in the transfer window have passed with the Italian window now closed.
The reported fee for Gineitis is around £8-10m which makes his appearance tonight high risk.
Despite being on the team sheet Joseph from Sky Sports reports that Celtic are close to agreeing a transfer.

Earlier today Celtic announced the loan signing of Oliver Sorenson from Parma.
With Mika Baur signed three weeks ago it looks like Celtic are going to have a very new look to the midfield.
On the other side of things Arne Engels has been sold with Paulo Bernardo going out on loan.
Reo Hatate has been linked with a move but with just a few hours left in the main European leagues time could be running out on that option.
If Celtic and Torino agree a deal for Gineitis the accelerator will need to be pressed to get the move completed by 11pm on Wednesday.
That is the timeline for registering a 25 man squad with UEFA for the Europa League.
The domestic deadline is 5pm on Thursday, at that point Martin O’Neill will know exactly what he has to work with until January.
