Celtic fans can expect a flurry of exciting transfer deals to be announced ahead of the Europa League transfer deadline at 11pm tonight.
At least three signings will be announced with the media messengers poised to apply top spin to every arrival. Eight days after Celtic’s Champions League exit to LASK.
From the start of the transfer window until August 12 Celtic signed four players.
Only Camilo Duran was involved in pre-season training.
Mika Baur and Haissem Hassan went into the LASK matches with a combined 51 minutes of playing time for Celtic.
Now, between 9am and 11pm on September 2 it looks like three players will be signed on top of the loan arrival of Oliver Sorenson.
Michael Gannon of the Daily Record has been over the course many times before.
Last season he got the exclusive news that Celtic were in advanced talks to appoint Wilfried Nancy as manager.
He spent weeks spinning for the French dud before the worst manager in the club’s history was sacked after 33 disastrous days.
Gannon was the senior member of the Albufeira Four that filled their boots with quotes during the Algarve training trip.
CELTIC MESSENGERS AND BONDING SESSION
The team bonding was so memorable that Martin O’Neill mentioned it twice in his media conference following the friendly against Middlesbrough.
Setting the scene for a day of exciting signings after O’Neill skipped media duties Gannon tells Record readers:
The boss shook so many fresh hands yesterday he might spotted in the dugout tonight wearing a sling.
Oliver Sorensen, Joel van den Berg and Sam Johnstone all pitched up to complete deals as the Lennoxtown reception area resembled Glasgow Airport during Fair Fortnight.
More than four passengers go through the Airport on the quietest day of the year but ho, ho ho. Top banter, the patter to laugh your head off when getting programmed with the lads in Albafeira.
Others were on the way too, with Chelsea kid Shim Mheuka on his way and potentially a couple of others, with deals for Gvidas Gineitis and a left back in the pipeline.
The flurry of activity has been welcomed by supporters.
Especially those on-message to spread the good news.
Followed in a few days by the hard luck and near miss stories.
Celtic will make a morning signing announcement. One at lunchtime and another around 5-6pm.
Creating excitement for the Aberdeen match to deflect from another Champions League failure.
Some signings may be substitutes tonight. The others can be introduced to the fans at half-time.
Then we’ll get the stories about lessons being learned, changes behind the scenes and promises that money will be available for signings in January.
Followed as ever by reminders that January is a notoriously difficult time to sign players.
Except for fans that can remember January 2022.

so were getting 4 loans and one signing ,and have sold 2 ,,,,,,,rather than just spending the money and signing players we opt for loans the 2 from chelski rumoured to have attitude problems so i’m sure their understanding of the scottish game will see them as useless bench warmers
