NOT ANOTHER PENNY is back, fully supported with fresh vigour. Thanks to a late night statement of intent from Celtic.
The statement wasn’t related to the uncertainty over the manager, three successive defeats or another demoralising Champions League exit.
The statement was about tennis balls. At a golf course in Fife involving a Non Executive Director who barely turns up to watch the team.
Some tennis balls were thrown at 2pm, just after 10pm there was another epic statement on the Celtic website.
On October 27 Dermot Desmond put his name to an all out attack on Celtic’s most successful manager.
This time no name was applied.
Without using AI it wasn’t too difficult to detect that the tone of Saturday’s statement was very similar to the statement on Rodgers.
Any wise PR firm would have told Celtic to let the tennis ball incident blow over. A 24 hour wonder.
CELTIC LAUNCH THE KAMIKAZE STATEMENT
Instead Celtic waded right in, two footed. Letting go of all their anger and contempt for those pesky entitled customers.
Naming the Celtic Fans Collective and The Green Brigade was the ultimate own goal.
And from that Not Another Penny is reborn, relaunched with added vigour.
Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback on whether the Not Another Penny campaign should continue or be suspended.
We received a wide range of views, with a majority in favour of continuing the campaign.
It is important to note that much of the feedback was submitted before the home matches against Rangers and Ferencvaros, while all responses were received before the events of this weekend. Given the subsequent strength of feeling across the support, we believe it is reasonable to conclude that support for continuing the campaign is unlikely to have diminished.
As a result, Not Another Penny will continue, with renewed vigour and fresh campaign material.
We do recognise that some members felt the campaign had run its course, with some indicating that they were prepared to return to purchasing merchandise. We also understand the practical difficulties for supporters, particularly those with children who want the latest strips or simply want to buy a drink at half-time.
All we ask is that supporters back the campaign as much as they reasonably can. It is having an impact and remains one of the sharpest tools available to supporters seeking to apply pressure for meaningful change at Celtic.
In the coming weeks, we intend to select a home fixture at which we will leaflet season ticket holders and further promote the campaign. Any members willing to volunteer and assist with that effort would be greatly appreciated.
Not Another Penny was one of the first ideas out of the Collective which came into being just over a year ago.
Fans were already sickened by the events of summer 2025 and the manner of the Champions League exit.
Spending on the club was down. Not Another Penny formalised it, the action was collective, not about individuals.
Adidas and Celtic had previously had it easy, anything could be produced with fans going out of their way to spend money. Not any more, not another penny.
Overnight the volume of sales crashed. The assumption of fans buying blindly had ended.
At Celtic Park the catering units were quieter.
The action wasn’t 100% far from it. But it was significant.
Sales at the Celtic stores have arrived earlier, discounts are deeper.
Last season’s SPFL title win could have buried the Collective and NAP.
Instead, Saturday’s over reaction has exposed the real feelings of the club about supporters. Not even Brian Unity Wilson offering tea and biscuits to preferred fan groups will resolve this issue.
What should Celtic Fans Collective do with Not Another Penny?
CONTINUE- This is the main way to protest
SUSPEND- Let us see what Celtic Connect produces
ABANDON- No longer required or useful

Just out of curiosity, would you Joe (anyone?) know if the NAP Committee
had already communicated directly with those businesses affected – like Adidas –
to explain the reasons for the boycott, and the willingness of the support
to return to spending money – if the Board engages and makes changes?
Do we have any idea what these businesses are thinking?
Can only guess how pissed off companies like Adidas must be…?
Collective need to box more clever please…
“Before the home matches v “Rangers” And Ferencvaros…
Don’t they fu**in know that “Rangers” are dead as dead can be !
This feels like a very significant shift in attitude on both sides of the fan/board war…and i use ‘war’ because that’s what we have now. I really don’t see any way back to civility and respect, except through resignations from the board. Things are about to explode ì fear…but it’s probably needed now.
