Jim Spence has revealed that he had to plead with Ibrox fans not to attack the Press Box at Tannadice on Sunday.

The Press Box at Dundee United is virtually unique in Scottish football, located in among the visiting support.

Spence was for many years the voice of Tayside on Radio Scotland with regular television work putting a face to the voice.

These days he writes a weekly column for The Courier as well as keeping tabs on everything going on in a lively Twitter account.

In the 76th minute of Sunday’s coverage from Sky Sports the banned Billy Boys song could be heard being from the majority of the visiting support, filling two sides of the stadium.

There has been no mainstream comment on this with the SPFL and SFA on mute. There has been no condemnation or warning of consequences from the Ibrox club.

This vile mob have been allowed to do and sing anything they want by their club spl sfa and the scottish goveremen, european football closed part of the bigot dome regarding their singing book but our officials allow this to continue to many o/o Church of Scotland and masons involved in scottish society and the press included the biggest offenders regarding the rangers racists fans is the club they know most of the fans join in the singing at the home matches and if they banned them the bigot dome would nearly empty.

That’s the party tune for lawlords in this country

  • Joeshug says:

Typical uneducated HUN ANIMALS no decent breeding or upbringing, dragged up, lacking a good Catholic education. These scum will not change, the song they sing is illegal, banned, against the (law) ha!

That’s a joke the majority of the police were probably joining in keeping the tempo waving their batons like conductors sticks. Bunch of sheep. Let’s fine Ibrox everytime they sing that song, after all they are responsible for their fans conduct its their club they are representing.

Come to think of it Dave King was probably sitting on top of the commentators box with his sash on. Ibrox should ban the racist, sectarian, bigots who utter the words in that song f…..g clowns.

The Scottish Establishment condone this behaviour by its complete lack of response. This includes many of the police, the football authorities and the Scottish Government and it’s ineffectual opposition.

Organisations like “Show racism the red card” are equally bad and hypocritical. Scotland is in a seriously bad state because of this establishment bigotry.

One club and one club only is to blame and it is the one In Sturgeon’s constituency. There are no two sides to this. One can only assume that the establishment is nominally bigoted itself or that they are too cowardly to take action against these modern day Billy Boys. Either way, it is thoroughly disgusting and disgraceful.

You can take the team out of the cesspit but you can’t take the cesspit out of the team.

Make no mistake. The tv. Commentary team were applauding the so called great atmosphere in the away end. My god. It’s sick.
