The Rangers Review has came up with the best transfer tale of the season with a claim that Chelsea are showing interest in signing Jefte!
The distress signals from Ibrox have rarely been more obvious as they find no takers for their serial losers and damaged goods.
Jefte has looked semi-competent going forward but has been badly exposed defensively which lives up to his billing as the left-sided Tavernier that greeted his arrival last summer from Cyprus.
Anyone scouring Scottish football for a left-back would have Greg Taylor, James Penrice of Hearts and Kilmarnock’s Lewis Mayo rated higher than the Ibrox ‘ace’
That sort pf reality doesn’t fit the script of promoting Phil Clement’s exciting young squad, when the transfer window closes bears can take comfort with the news that they held onto Jefte.
If this tale follows the Alfredo Morelos to China template the young defender and his agent can expect a significant pay rise arriving with a new contract
Chelsea have made contact with representatives for Jefte regarding a potential move this summer. No bid has yet been made for the Brazilian.@RangersReview55 understands the club are aware of interest from other European clubs in the left-back.https://t.co/JQHIhS6gY7

Chelsea are leading the chase for Rangers left-back Jefte as the Ibrox board brace themselves for summer interest in their Brazilian star.
Jefte moved to Glasgow from Fluminense last May following an eye-catching loan stint in Cyprus with APOEL. And he has established himself as one of the main performers in Philippe Clement’s side this term thanks to a series of impressive displays domestically and in the Europa League.
Now the Rangers Review understands that Chelsea have made initial contact with Jefte’s representatives to ask about a potential switch come the end of the season. It is understood that Rangers are also aware of other interest from a handful of clubs on the continent in one of their most sellable assets.
Jefte has made 34 appearances in all competitions for Rangers and is set to start the Europa League fixture against Union Saint-Gilloise on Thursday evening. The full-back is contracted to Rangers for another three seasons and no bids have yet been received.
In January 2018 all of the other publishers took the Morelos to Chelsea story as genuine until Kheredine Idessane of BBC Scotland contacted some tennis contacts in China to establish that the story was complete fantasy.
Shamefully BBC Scotland backtracked on that news, opting to play along with the idea that the unknown club had genuine interest.
Rival publishers will now have to decide if they will play along with the Jefte story or take the opportunity to trash the credibility of a competitor.
There is as much chance of Chelsea sounding out the agents of Kwon Hyeok-kyu and Marco Tilio as they are of showing interest in Jefte.
The international race to sign the Brazilian ace is likely to be led by Blackpool, Bolton and Leyton Orient.

a load of old bollix , i’m waiting for the same sh!t about igamane , he’s gonna be hyped up to the last and he’s scoring goals like old pineapple head was , so he’s gonna be furked about big time unless he’s got a good agent , if not he better change to a different one cos those cheatin gits will do him where the sun don’t shine , like they destroyed dodo ‘s career , what a horrible bunch !
Aye …Chelsea need somebody to assist the trainer of the under16’s ..all that Brazilian samba magic and all that ,will be their strategy ….
After Dessers’ surprisingly decent goal yesterday,
I guess sevco will now be ‘fighting off interest’ from Barca? 🙂
And when he’s still at ibrox when the window slams shut,
they can all celebrate… that nobody is interested in buying sevco players!
Just a little ditty I heard, that they aren’t singing in the Loyal Raingurz public houses.
Here we go!
Moreles’s got a telly Bhoys, A telly Bhoys, A telly Bhoys,
Moreles’s got a telly Bhoys, He’s got a telly Bhoys!
He’s got a telly Bhoys, He’s got a telly Bhoys!
Moreles’s got a telly Bhoys, He’s got a telly Bhoys!
Didn’t he do well?!
Okay. I made it up myself!
Aye a telly but no license…
Well he’s definitely not gotva driving license for sure !
He had plenty of license over here though – from the Ref’s!
That’s for absolute certain T…
Especially from Cheatin’ Beaton !
In the style of “Chewin’ The Fat”, ‘I smell shite!’….
You didn’t have long to wait Joe. Ibrox Noise (AKA The Comedy Channel) have got an article claiming that Spurs are goint to “test Rangers’ resolve” with “a major Igamane bid”. This bid will be £10-£20m, apparently. Given that this is quite a wide range and that the whole thing is attributed to “sources online” (AKA wee Davie the Sparky fae the pub that did some minor rewiring in the snack bar at Ibrox 25 years ago, so is “in the know”), I’m with Captain Swing. I’m smelling shite. Probably won’t stop Whacko Jacko over at the Record running with it though.
