Lucy Pinder, the wife of Russell Martin joined thousands of Celtic fans celebrating the thrilling Scottish Cup win at Ibrox.
Martin lasted 123 days as manager at Ibrox before being chased out of town. It is believed that Lucy was delighted to escape the fortnightly trip up the rancid marble staircase.
The prayer mat in the Manager’s Office was quickly binned. Mr Struth’s bowler hat and parrot cage still holds pride of place.
Martin was in the dug-out for the first Glasgow Derby of the season. A 0-0 draw at Ibrox that turned out to be his only clash with Scotland’s most successful club.
From the moment that he was appointed manager at Ibrox Martin was detested.
IBROX MISERY FOR RUSSELL MARTIN
Even being in contention for the job worried the Ibrox support.
They may have been forced into making a few concessions to the 20th century but that never prepared them for a full on WOKE manager.
Martin is a vegan Buddhist. If that wasn’t bad enough he was also a member of the Green Party.
While he was manager of Southampton he refused to meet Rishi Sunak on a visit to the stadium.
Martin has a profile that is the polar opposite to everything that an Ibrox manager should be.
He even refused to wear club brogues and blazer. Not once did he wear a club tie. He claimed that ties made him sweaty.
In his only concession to tradition Martin came up with a cringe story about sharing a bottle of whisky in a hot tub with the late Jimmy Bell.

The last images of Martin as manager at Ibrox was of getting chased out the Falkirk Stadium by masked thugs.
There was no media condemnation of that incident. There is no record of police charges being made.
Later that night Martin and his wife got their pay off, quickly they packed up their belongings and got out of town.
The thugs involved were almost certainly on the pitch at Ibrox looking for violence before running back to their seats.
Now the Ibrox board has to decide whether to take action against the Union Bears.
Season Ticket renewals start on March 18 and run until April 22. Helping to meet March payroll rather than the traditional share issue.

Now that’s a story I like listening to Joe , condemning fan thuggery from over there , with regards to the interview with Danny roll after the game yesterday, he claimed to know nothing about what went on , he was not even pushed more on it the way MON was by the interviewer , he was playing dumb , that why I said earlier that I would forget what that man says or does Joe , it was not a slight on yourself , keep up the good writing HH
Just read that Ally McCoist was “raging” at the scenes at the end of the glasgow Derby among other things CELTIC fans did slightly “selective” Ally don’t you think. He said..I was watching the match with my children and the atmosphere was (great). What happened at the end was disgraceful. I wonder how Allys “children” will turn out. When daddy “Ally” thinks singing about being up to their knees in “fienian” blood, buying ropes to hang “popes” and making fun of the Irish potato “famine” played a part in making that “Atmosphere” great.
God Bless Russell Martin…
But The Sevco Hun Hoards might say God Bless Wilfried Nancy…
Or actually maybe not !
